The week was productive for the team. Tyler received the helmet and electrodes, and the rest of the equipment has also arrived to make for a productive week. After speaking with Dr. Hossein Asghari and Dr. Lei Huang, Mark has been placed in the right path in terms of working on the machine learning code on MATLAB for the EEG.
So far, Mark has reviewed the following articles and has completed the Deep Learning Onramp Matlab course to familiarize himself more:
Tyler has designed and simulated the high pass, low pass, and notch filters in Multisim and has began to test each electrode.

THIS WEEK
Tyler
Simulated the filter stages of the circuit in Multisim
Constructed EEG electrode adapter for breadboard use
Mark
Apply the tools and research learned on existing EEG datasets by creating a CNN on MATLAB
NEXT WEEK
Tyler
Build and test each stage of the circuit until the final circuit is complete and verified to be working.
Mark
Continue working on the MATLAB code
Memo: Tyler and Mark spoke with Hossein regarding their progress. Hossein asked the team to set a specific timeline to reduce the complexity of the project. Tyler was currently in the process of building the amplifier, while Mark, agreed with Hossein's advice that CNN has a steep learning curve for a person who has not taken a course to familiarize themselves with it so Mark will now be focused on K-means clustering.
