This week the team focused on further determining the transient wave that appears every time the multiplexer switches channels. It has been determined that the main issue was the multiplexer is the culprit of the problem. An active low pass filter designed before the instrumentation amplifier, but it didn't resolve the issue. The issue that can be seen, when measuring the first stage or second stage of the EEG circuit is the difference in DC offset.
Besides the team determining the issue with the multiplexer, we have been working on combining the components for the helmet.
This upcoming week the team is going to have a big week as they make the finishing touches to the capstone project, present the EEG project to the Electrical Engineering faculty at Loyola Marymount University, present their project at the Engineering Design Capstone Showcase, and turn in their final report for the project to Dr. Hossein Asghari.
